Automotive Core Tools Quiz (AIAG & VDA) – #940

Context
A global market survey of the automotive industry carried out by VDA QMC has shown that automotive core tools, i.e. the quality methods and tools used in the automotive industry, are poorly applied and are often the subject of deviations during system and process audits.
This is why the VDA qualification requirements for systems and process auditors have been modified to include the subject of automotive core tools.
Objectives
- Demonstrate expertise in AIAG and VDA automotive core tools
- By passing this Quiz, you will be able to apply for the VDA 6.3 – #942 process auditor certification exam.
Prerequisites
- Be familiar with the AIAG and VDA core tools for the automotive industry, and have followed a training course of at least two days on the core tools for the automotive industry (from 2019) provided by another training organisation or another VDA license.
Specific operating conditions for remote sessions
- Have a PC equipped with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: wallpapers are available on Zoom or Teams to hide the background.
- Have a good Internet connection, which should be tested before the session.
- Settle down in a quiet, isolated place; set yourself to « unavailable » status on Teams; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
- Participants from the same organisation should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at their own desk.
- This Quiz must be taken with the webcam and microphone open. We may need to check that you are alone in the room.
- Please sign in 5 minutes before the start of the session.
Evaluation mode
- The online quiz consists of 30 questions, of which you must answer at least 70% correctly (21 questions). Each question contains four possible answers, only one of which is correct. You have a total of 60 minutes to answer all 30 questions.
Please note that you are only allowed one attempt: you cannot retake the quiz online.
Once you have passed the quiz, you will receive a qualification certificate.
If you fail the quiz, no certificate will be sent, and you will have to enrol in a VDA-QMC automotive core tools training course (Euro-symbiosis courses #9525 or #925) to be able to continue the entry process for VDA 6.3 auditor certification (see prerequisites).
- What is the best way to prepare for the online quiz?
It is strongly recommended that you prepare yourself before taking the online quiz.
The quiz covers both the AIAG and VDA core tools.

- What should I do if I fail the online quiz?
It is not possible to retake the quiz by registering again. Only a candidate’s first attempt at the online quiz will be counted.
If you have not passed the quiz, you must complete the training course:
- “Introduction to AIG&VDA core tools, referenced in IATF 16949” – #9525 (5 days)
- If you are familiar with the AIAG and VDA core tools: “Auditing German automotive core tools” – #925 (2 days).
