Product Safety and Conformity Representative (PSCR) – Upgrade – #952
Training in partnership with the VDA-QMC
Context
Every company in the automotive supply chain is required to ensure the safety and legal compliance of its products. This involves complying with the regulations of the countries concerned, meeting public expectations regarding safety, and fulfilling other binding obligations. However, the diversity of markets and product variants, together with the complexity of supply chains, makes these requirements difficult to manage.
These challenges must therefore be addressed not only at the level of individual products, but also systematically at the organizational level, through a Product Compliance System (PCS). Such a system includes elements for identifying, monitoring, controlling, and minimizing risks related to product compliance at company level.
Building on the product compliance system, this training covers the operational implementation of PCS requirements and the management of identified risks.
During this training, you will discover the seven elements that make up a product compliance system and how it enables you, as an acting PSCR, to manage your daily work more professionally and more effectively.
Objectives
- Learn about new and updated requirements regarding product compliance.
- Understand the scope of a product compliance system and its components, from both a governance and an operational perspective.
- Understand the role and responsibilities of the PSCR as well as those of other stakeholders within the product compliance system.
- Learn the methods for setting safety objectives and conducting risk assessments, and know how to respond in the event of a product’s legal non-compliance.
