ISO 26000 – How to lead your CSR initiative? #262
Context
-
You would like to know how to implement your CSR approach with the help of the ISO 26000 standard.
- You would like to learn more about ISO 26000 and translate its principles into concrete actions.
- You want to assess your company against the ISO 26000 standard.
Since the Pacte law of 2019, all companies must strengthen corporate social responsibility (CSR) to « take into consideration » environmental and social issues in the management of their activities and in their relations with their customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and local stakeholders.
CSR means putting into practice the « sustainable development » of its activities, in order to limit their impact on the environment and have a positive impact on society, while remaining economically viable.
ISO 26000, an international standard, defines the scope of CSR around 7 central issues:
- organizational governance (e.g. ethics, corruption),
- human rights (e.g. control of subcontracting and risk of child labor),
- labor relations and working conditions (e.g. overwork, ISO45001),
- the environment (e.g. Bilan Carbone®, ISO14001, ISO50001),
- fair practices (e.g. anti-corruption),
- consumer issues (e.g. digital data processing),
- communities and local development.
