– You are a VDA 6.8:2024 qualified auditor, having completed official VDA-QMC auditor qualification training, and you would like to become a ‘certified auditor’.
– Your customers’ CSRs require the ‘certified auditor’ level.
– Your company (or the Group to which your site belongs) would like to have internal and/or supplier certified auditors.
– You are an external auditor from an independent third-party organisation appointed by the organisation to carry out VDA 6.8 audits.
Process Auditors (internal / suppliers) in accordance with VDA 6.8: 2024, meeting the prerequisites.
Prerequisites for participation
The following documents must be submitted:
– A copy of your qualification certificate for the ‘VDA 6.8 – Process Auditor – Qualification’ training course issued by the VDA-QMC or a licensee.
– Proof of 3 days’ auditor qualification training based on EN ISO 19011.
– Proof of at least 5 years’ professional experience in an industrial company, including at least 2 years in logistics-related fields (see chapter 3.2 of VDA 6.8, preferably the same as process elements L1 to L7). Periods of sandwich training, e.g. as a warehouse logistics specialist and/or advanced training, e.g. as a certified logistics manager, are credited at 50%. A diploma in logistics/supply chain is credited with 25%.
– Admission to the certification exam is only granted after a positive examination of the application.

The examination takes the form of an audit simulation. The assessment focuses on the auditor’s performance during the simulation. Preparation for the audit, the auditor’s behaviour during the simulation and the follow-up to the debriefing are assessed.
The examination consists of :
– a preparation phase (25 minutes)
– a simulated audit (20 minutes)
– a formulation, evaluation and justification of the results (5-10 minutes)
– an interview (5-10 minutes)
For the preparation, you may use the written training materials distributed (including standards) during the VDA training courses in which you participated, which you must bring yourself to the examination.
Once you have passed the examination, you will receive a certificate with a registration number. The certificate is valid for 5 years.
