APQP PPAP according to aerospace-defense standards – #79
Context
APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is a strategic tool for ASD companies to standardise the development of new products/processes and meet the strict quality and reliability requirements of this sector.
The Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Control Plan (CP) are outputs of APQP.
You manage projects in the Aerospace and Defence sector and want to implement an effective project management process to:
- ensure that deliverables are provided on time and in accordance with customer requirements,
- alert management early on in the event of project deviations,
- effectively resolve problems that are bound to arise in a project,
- ensure effective communication within the multidisciplinary project team.
Objectives
- Understand the challenges of the APQP/PPAP Manual for the aerospace industry available in the SCMH guide and make the link with the AS/EN9100 and AS/EN9145 standards, as well as the AS13100 standards and the RM13145 manual for the engine manufacturing industry.
- Know how to structure the project in five phases and understand the elements and deliverables expected for each phase of the project.
- Understand how to measure project progress by assessing the maturity of deliverables.
- Know how to organise the multidisciplinary project team.
- Make the link with risk management, special requirements management and key characteristics.
- Build your action plan to implement APQP within your company and supply chain.
Recommanded for
- Project Manager.
- Project team
- Industrialisation Manager.
- Quality/QHSE manager, engineer and technician.
- Quality Auditor.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the aerospace and defence sector.
Pedagogy
- The course alternates between theoretical sessions on the recommendations of standard AS/EN 9145 and practical sessions involving case studies and examples. The main requirements of AS/EN9145 and AS13100, including those of manual RM13145, are presented during the training.
Evaluation mode
- Knowledge test (multiple-choice questions)
Course materials
-
Participant file containing the presentations delivered during the training and the exercise materials.
