ASQMS – Automotive Software Quality Management System – Awareness – #830

Context
The increasing use of software within vehicles, along with its growing complexity, is reshaping traditional approaches to quality management. Software development introduces new challenges, particularly in terms of governance, lifecycle management, and ecosystem integration.
To address these challenges, the ASQMS standard provides a structured and integrated framework for managing software-related risks and requirements. It complements existing automotive standards by focusing specifically on software processes, associated risks, and quality expectations.
The ASQMS awareness training course delivers a structured introduction to the automotive software quality management system and its core principles.
Trigo is an ASQMS-accredited partner (www.asqms.org) and actively supports the development and deployment of the ASQMS framework.
Objectives
- Understand the strategic importance of software quality in the automotive industry
- Identify the value added by the ASQMS framework in comparison with existing standards, particularly ASPICE
- Understand the principles of software quality management, lifecycle processes, and organisational governance
- Gain insight into how ASQMS structures the governance of software-based products
- Identify key organisational challenges and relevant areas for action within your company

Specific operating conditions for remote sessions
- Have a PC equipped with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: wallpapers are available on Zoom or Teams to hide the background.
- Have a good Internet connection, which should be tested before the session.
- Settle down in a quiet, isolated place; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
- Participants from the same organisation should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at their own desk.
- The end-of-course knowledge test must be taken with your webcam and microphone turned on. We may need to verify that you are alone in the room.
- Please sign in 5 minutes before the start of the session.

- Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- General knowledge of software development processes
Pedagogy
- The teaching method alternates between theoretical sessions on requirements and interactive discussions with participants
Evaluation mode
- Knowledge test (Multi Choice Questions)
Course materials
- Participant file containing the presentations delivered during the training and the exercise materials.
- Digital training materials are made available to trainees a few days before the start of the training course on our LMS platform.
