Context
You wish to optimise the performance of your processes by using a statistical management approach allowing you to stabilise their variability.
Objectives
- Be able to identify when control charts need to be implemented.
- Understand basic statistical concepts and the difference between common and special (attributable) causes.
- Be able to select and implement the control charts best suited to one’s needs.
- Be able to deal with specific cases involving small production runs.
- Understand how to avoid the most commonly observed errors.
- Be able to prepare and calculate the capability of machines and processes.
- Identify the conditions necessary for the successful implementation of MSP /SPC within one’s organisation.

Prerequisites

Have studied the MSP e-learning before the course.
Specific operating conditions for remote sessions
- Have a PC equipped with a microphone, webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: To blur or hide the view from behind, background screens are available in Zoom or Teams.
- A good Internet connection, tested before the session.
- Locate in a quiet, isolated area; switch to “not available” status in Teams; close your email access and mute your phone to avoid distraction during the session.
- To avoid off-topic discussions during the session, participants from the same organisation should not be grouped together in the same room, but rather at their own desks. Virtual sub-groups will be set up specifically for the exercises, which will also allow for mixed groups to be created.
- The webcam and microphone must be open during remote qualification/certification exams. It may also be necessary for us to check that you are the only one in the room.
- We ask that you connect at least 5 minutes before the beginning of the session.
Pedagogy
- The training is based on numerous exercises to help you use the various statistical tools.
- For in-house training, preparation prior to the course enables data to be collected with a view to developing company-specific exercises.
Evaluation mode
- Knowledge test (MCQ).
Course materials
- Participant file containing the presentations delivered during the training and the exercise materials.
- An Excel file is provided with all the pre-formatted formulas, giving you all the tools you need to easily apply the statistical concepts during and after the training course.
- Digital training materials are made available to trainees a few days before the start of the training course on our LMS platform.
